Obverse description The obverse features the Arms of Singapore centrally placed in the field, depicting a shield charged with a crescent moon and five stars, supported by a lion rampant to the left and a tiger to the right, with a ribbon below bearing the national motto MAJULAH SINGAPURA. The country name appears in four scripts arranged around the design: SINGAPURA arcs along the upper rim in Latin script, சிங்கப்பூர் in Tamil script runs vertically along the left, 新加坡 in Chinese characters runs vertically along the right, and SINGAPORE is inscribed along the lower rim in Latin script. The date 2011 appears in the lower field between the supporters and the lower legend. The entire design is rendered in high-relief proof finish against a mirror-like field.
