| Obverse description | Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, portrayed at approximately 77 years of age, bare-headed, wearing a necklace and earrings, after the portrait by Susanna Blunt. The legend arcs around the upper field, while a commemorative double-date marking — "1952" and "2022" — separated by four pearls symbolising the four successive royal effigies that appeared on Canadian coinage throughout the Queen's reign, is incorporated into the design. The initials "SB" appear below the portrait, identifying the engraver. |
