Reverse description The central field features a large circular nacre (mother-of-pearl) inlay depicting a classic Mississippi paddle-wheel steamboat navigating a river, its tall twin smokestacks emitting billowing smoke rendered in the iridescent tones of the shell. The paddle-wheel and multi-deck superstructure are finely engraved in gold relief over the nacre surface, with seabirds in flight and a bridge structure visible to the left. A decorative beaded border separates the central inlay from the surrounding gold rim. The legend MISSISSIPPI STEAMBOAT curves along the upper rim within a dotted border, while the denomination 200 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower rim.
