Obverse description The obverse presents the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted in right-facing profile bust by engraver Susanna Blunt, whose initials 'SB' appear at the base of the truncation. The Queen is shown wearing a pearl necklace and earring, with her hair elegantly styled in an upswept coiffure. The circumferential legend reads 'ELIZABETH II' to the left and 'D·G·REGINA' to the right, all in raised Latin lettering against a deeply mirrored proof field. The Royal Canadian Mint's privy mark appears at the bottom of the field below the bust.
