Reverse description A frill-necked lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii) depicted in high relief, standing erect on a rocky outcrop with its distinctive frilled neck fully displayed in a defensive posture, facing left. The design is the work of engraver Horst Hahne, whose initials HH appear in the field. The arc legend PRIDE OF AUSTRALIA curves along the upper rim, and the denomination TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS is inscribed in bold lettering along the lower portion of the coin. A beaded inner border frames the design, which is part of the Royal Australian Mint's Pride of Australia gold bullion series celebrating native fauna.
