The coin’s reverse features an interpretation of the Sapphire Jubilee Snowflake Brooch—a gift from the people of Canada to Queen Elizabeth II in 2017 to mark the 65th anniversary of her reign. Plated with platinum, the engraved snowflake shape is adorned with eight blue sapphire gemstones (four round and four oval) that surround the centre.
