| Obverse description | Central design features a stylized quatrefoil motif enclosing a circular medallion bearing the Chinese character for 'Szechuan' (川) in the field. The quatrefoil is rendered in a geometric, interlocking style within a plain inner circle. Surrounding the central device, a circular legend in Chinese characters reads, in the upper arc, 中華民國十五年 (Year 15 of the Republic of China) and, in the lower arc, 川 當枚每貳百文 (Szechuan, each piece worth 200 Cash). Two small rosette ornaments flank the central device on either side, serving as legend separators. |
