Obverse description The obverse is dominated by an intaglio portrait of Simón Bolívar at right, rendered in a three-quarter view against a fine guilloche underprint in pale gold and olive tones. At upper left the numeral '200' appears in large letterpress figures, balanced by the denomination 'DOSCIENTOS BOLIVIANOS' in bold sans-serif lettering at centre. The Bolivian coat of arms is printed in the lower centre, flanked by two facsimile signatures and their respective titles 'PRESIDENTE BCB' and 'GERENTE GENERAL BCB', with the serial number appearing twice in brown ink.

Reverse description The reverse presents a central vignette of the monumental stone sculptures of Tiwanaku (Cultura Tiahuanacota), including the Gateway of the Sun and carved monoliths set against an Andean mountain backdrop, rendered in brown intaglio line engraving. The bank title 'BANCO CENTRAL DE BOLIVIA' runs across the top, with the denomination 'DOSCIENTOS BOLIVIANOS' in a bold panel at lower centre. Guilloche rosettes and a nautilus-shell spiral ornament appear at the lower corners, with the numeral '200' at upper right and lower right.
