Comments

Bank Mellat is a commercial bank, not a central bank — yet this note carries "Bank Mellat" as issuer, which is the anomaly worth noting. The Central Bank of Iran (Bank Markazi) holds the sole legal authority to issue currency in Iran; commercial banks do not issue banknotes. A 200,000 Rial denomination attributed to Bank Mellat on paper composition with serial numbers and a security thread reads more like a gift certificate, internal voucher, or commemorative bearer instrument than a circulating banknote.

Without a confirmed Pick number, treat provenance and issuer claims on any example with appropriate skepticism before cataloging as currency.
