| Obverse description |
At the center of the obverse, within a beaded inner border, appears the Small State Emblem of Ukraine (the trident) framed by two symmetrical guelder-rose sprays, each bearing five leaves and three clusters of berries — the upper cluster of seven berries, the middle of five, and the lower of six. The date of issue, 1995, is inscribed above the emblem, while the two-line denomination 200000 КАРБОВАНЦІВ appears below, with the numeral interrupted by the beaded ornament. The circular legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ runs along the outer ring of the obverse, separated from the denomination КАРБОВАНЦІВ by rhombic dividers. |
| Reverse description |
The reverse features a central depiction of the Obelisk to the Hero-City of Sevastopol, erected on the high bank of the North Bay in honor of the defenders who held the city against German forces for 250 days from November 1941 to July 1942. To the left of the obelisk, set against a background of stylized sea waves, stands the monument to the ships scuttled in defense of Sevastopol during 1854–1855; to the right, three rows of waves are surmounted by the silhouette of a modern warship. The upper circular legend reads МІСТО-ГЕРОЙ СЕВАСТОПОЛЬ, and the dates 1941–1945 appear in the lower field beneath the obelisk. |
