| Obverse description | The obverse of this Notgeld Gutschein is printed on a tan guilloche underprint with a decorative scalloped border. A bold dark blue overprint reads '200 Millionen M' across the top, with the large Gothic blackletter denomination 'Tausend Mark' of the original 1 000 Mark note still visible in the centre. The issuer's name 'Die Badische Anilin- & Soda-Fabrik, Ludwigshafen a/Rhein' appears in Gothic script above the central vignette, flanked by a municipal coat of arms at lower left, two handwritten signatures, and a red serial number repeated twice; a lower panel carries the overprint validity clause dated 15. Oktober 1922 with validity extended to 30. November 1923. |
