| Reverse description | The reverse presents a selectively gilt reproduction of the historic ducat of Sigismund I the Elder at center, its quartered heraldic shield bearing the Polish eagle, Lithuanian Pursuer (Pahonia), and dynastic arms, all within a beaded inner border and the Latin motto IVSTVS*VT*PALMA*FLOREBIT* encircling the coin. To the left in the silver field, a large engraved Polish eagle with spread wings and a crown is depicted in high artistic relief against a matte background. Above in the upper field, the inscription DUKAT ZYGMUNTA STAREGO arcs along the rim, identifying the commemorated historical coin. The outer border echoes the obverse's Renaissance-inspired decorative framework. |
