Obverse description The Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings spread and talons displayed — occupies the central field. Along the upper periphery runs the legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA in Latin characters. Below the eagle, the date 2008 is inscribed, flanked on either side by close-up renderings of peregrine falcon feathers that extend into the lower field as decorative background panels. The denomination ZŁ 20 ZŁ appears prominently in the lower portion of the field, flanking the central numeral.
