Obverse description Centrally positioned within the field is the Polish White Eagle (Orzeł Biały), the national coat of arms, depicted with wings spread, head turned to the right, and talons clutching downward — rendered in the simplified heraldic style adopted during the Polish People's Republic period, notably without the royal crown. The circumferential legend reads 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' (Polish People's Republic) arranged around the upper arc, with the mint mark 'MW' and the date flanked by two raised dots positioned along the lower arc. The design is executed in a clean, modernist relief characteristic of late-era Communist Polish coinage.
