Reverse description The reverse presents a dynamic commemorative composition celebrating four centuries of Warsaw as the Polish capital. Dominating the centre is the statue of King Sigismund III Vasa — rendered as an armoured figure holding aloft a large Latin cross — which is the iconic monument of Castle Square in Warsaw's Old Town. To the left, the baroque towers and façade of the Royal Castle are depicted in stylised relief against the open field. A smaller church tower with a cupola appears to the lower right, evoking the historic cityscape of the Old Town. The curved legend 'IV WIEKI STOŁECZNOŚCI' arcs along the upper periphery, with 'WARSZAWY' inscribed vertically along the right border, all executed in Latin script by engraver Robert Kotowicz.
