| Obverse description | Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed in high relief, each head crowned with a small imperial crown, the whole surmounted by a large central imperial crown. The eagle's breast bears a quartered shield with the arms of various Russian provinces, while the wings display additional heraldic shields of the imperial territories. The eagle clutches a sceptre in its right talon and an orb in its left. Mint mark letters M and W appear in the lower field to either side of the eagle's tail feathers. |
