| Obverse description | Central device depicts the crowned Polish eagle with wings spread, rendered in high relief in the socialist heraldic style of the People's Republic, without a crown on the eagle's head as per PRL convention. The dates 1944 and 1964 flank the eagle's talons, commemorating the twentieth anniversary of the republic's founding. The year 1964 appears once more in the lower exergual area below the eagle. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the upper periphery, interrupted by raised dots used as separators, with the mint mark MW incorporated into the design. |
