| Reverse description | A female allegorical figure, rendered in high relief in a modernist socialist-realist style, stands at center-right holding a large sheaf of wheat grain stalks, symbolizing agricultural prosperity. To the left, a tall electricity transmission pylon dominates the background, representing industrial development. The denomination 20 ZŁ appears in large numerals at the lower right, while the inscription XX LAT PRL is displayed on a tablet in the central field. The word PRÓBA (meaning trial or pattern) is incused vertically along the left rim, and the engraver's initials WK appear at lower left. |

| Additional information |
In 1964, Polish state authorities commissioned commemorative 20-złoty pieces marking two decades of the Polish People's Republic. Trial strikes — próby — in copper-nickel were produced alongside other experimental compositions as part of the standard approval process run through the Warsaw Mint. Most never entered general circulation; they exist today almost exclusively because mint employees and party officials retained examples outside official channels. The Fischer and ParM catalog references both distinguish this CuNi trial from the aluminum and other compositional variants struck in the same approval run.
