Obverse description The central vignette consists of an ornate cartouche framed by two allegorical figures in neoclassical style — a female figure to the left bearing a sheaf of wheat and a male figure to the right holding a caduceus, symbolising agriculture and commerce respectively. The cartouche bears the issuer's name in script lettering, the denomination in large bold type, the place and date of issue, and three manuscript facsimile signatures below their respective titles. The interlaced monogram 'BP' of Bank Polski appears in oval medallions on both lateral margins, set against a fine guilloche underprint in blue-grey tones.
