Issued to mark the centenary of the 1920 Battle of Warsaw — the engagement in which Polish forces halted the Soviet westward advance — this is one of several polymer commemoratives PWPW has produced domestically, a capability the Warsaw security printer developed specifically to reduce dependence on foreign substrate suppliers. The transparent window, integrated into the polymer carrier rather than applied as a patch, reflects production techniques PWPW refined through earlier commemorative runs.
Commemorative złoty notes of this type are legal tender but rarely enter general circulation.
