Obverse description Black intaglio on green guilloche underprint. A vignette of Danzan Shrine appears at the left, with a portrait of Fujiwara no Kamatari at the right. Vertical Japanese inscriptions identify the note as a Bank of Japan convertible note exchangeable for twenty yen in gold, with the imprint of the Imperial Japanese Government Cabinet Printing Bureau along the lower margin.
