| Obverse description | Three draped female busts in left-facing profile occupy the central field, presented in overlapping arrangement and wearing traditional Vietnamese dress with bead necklaces; the figures are rendered in fine high relief by engraver Lucien Georges Bazor. The legend QUỐC-GIA VIỆT-NAM arcs along the upper periphery in incuse Latin lettering, while the date 1953, flanked by small decorative ornaments, appears in the lower exergue. The entire design is framed by a continuous zigzag or sawtooth inner border running around the circumference. |
