| Obverse description | The face of the note carries the denomination in letterpress text along all four borders, with the colonial coat of arms of Delaware in a vignette at the left. The central text panel, set in period long-s typography, states the legal tender clause authorizing the bill as currency within the Delaware State pursuant to an Act of General Assembly, dated 1st May 1777. A handwritten serial number appears at the top center and a manuscript authorization signature is present at the lower right. |
