Reverse description Printed in ochre and pale blue on white cotton paper, the reverse centres on a large oval vignette of a lion striding through savannah grass with a mountain range in the background, executed in fine intaglio engraving. The oval is flanked on each side by circular denomination numerals "20" set within intricate guilloche rosettes and geometric lathe-work panels. The denomination inscription "TWENTY SHILLINGS OR ONE POUND" appears in letterpress within ruled cartouches at both the top and bottom of the central design field.
