| Obverse description | The obverse features a large numeral '20' enclosed within a rounded rectangular cartouche at centre, with the denomination 'SCHILLING' inscribed below it in smaller lettering. The legend 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' curves around the upper periphery in bold raised letters. The date is split either side of the Austrian shield — the national arms comprising a horizontally striped escutcheon — positioned at the lower centre of the field. The overall design is bold and geometric, executed in a modern style by engraver Kurt Bodlak. |
