| Obverse description | The obverse centers on the circular perforation, which is surrounded by a raised ring bearing Thai script denoting the Buddhist Era date พ.ส.2488 (BE 2488 / 1945). Encircling the central hole is an elaborate band of traditional Thai decorative scrollwork in low relief. The outer annulus is filled with a repeating geometric and floral pattern of pointed petal forms and foliate motifs rendered in the classical Rattanakosin ornamental style. A fine beaded border runs along the coin's rim. |
