| Obverse description | Central field displays the national emblem of Pakistan — a crescent and five-pointed star — flanked on either side by stylised wheat sheaves rendered in low relief. A crossed laurel wreath appears at the base. The Arabic legend 'اسلامی جمہوریہ پاکستان' (Islamic Republic of Pakistan) arcs around the upper periphery, with the denomination '20 روپیہ' (20 Rupees) at the right and the date '2011' below the central device. The entire design is encircled by a beaded border. |

Issued to mark the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, this coin appeared during a period when Beijing was deepening infrastructure investment across Pakistan — years before CPEC was formally announced, but well within the political momentum that would produce it. The timing was deliberate; 2011 marked six decades since the two governments established formal ties in May 1951.
