Obverse description The obverse features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, centrally placed in the upper field, depicted with three lions visible atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra wheel. Immediately below the emblem, the national motto in Devanagari script reads 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth Alone Triumphs'). The large numeral '20' dominates the lower field, flanked by the denomination legend 'RUPEES' in Latin script along the right arc and 'भारत' in Devanagari along the left arc. The country name 'INDIA' appears in Latin script along the upper right periphery. The entire design is encircled by a fine beaded border.
