| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a large circular watermark zone at centre-left, surrounded by an intricate multicolour guilloche underprint of lotus flowers and foliate scrollwork in pink, green and teal. To the right, an intaglio vignette presents the Moonstone of Anuradhapura, rendered in fine line engraving in pink and grey tones. Trilingual bank title and legal tender text appear in Sinhala, Tamil and English across the upper and central areas, with denomination numerals in bold at all four corners and date below the central text block. |

| Reverse description | The reverse carries a central intaglio vignette of the Thuparama Dagoba at Anuradhapura, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in Sri Lanka, set against a background of trees and stone columns with a broad circular halo effect above. The lower register presents a finely engraved vignette of orchid blossoms in lilac and orange tones, framed by multicolour guilloche scrollwork. Trilingual denomination inscriptions in Sinhala, Tamil and English appear along the bottom, with the bank title repeated at the top in all three scripts. |
