| Obverse description | The royal personal emblem of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, rendered as a traditional Nepali yantra-style square mandala design with interlocking geometric compartments. Devanagari inscriptions naming the king are arranged within the segmented panels surrounding a central circle bearing the trident symbol. The Bikram Sambat date 2036 appears at the bottom of the mandala. A beaded border encircles the entire design. |
