Obverse description At center, the national arms of the Republic of Belarus — a heraldic shield surmounted by a radiant sun and flanked by floral sprays — occupies the central field. Surrounding the arms, the denomination '20' appears below, with the legend 'РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ' arching around the upper periphery in Cyrillic characters. The lower field bears the inscription 'РУБЛЁЎ' flanking the denomination, with the date '2021' and fineness mark 'Ag 925' positioned at the lower left and right respectively. The entire design is framed by an ornate wreath of stylized leaves and berries rendered in high relief, characteristic of Belarusian folk decorative art, against a deeply mirrored proof field.

Additional information

Belarus has issued themed silver series around traditional folk crafts since the early 2000s, and this piece belongs to that broader program celebrating artisanal trades that industrialization largely displaced by the mid-twentieth century. Wood carving as a cottage industry was particularly embedded in the Polesie and Vitebsk regions, where raw timber was historically the most accessible medium for both functional and decorative objects.

KM#716 is a relatively low-mintage issue, as is typical of the National Bank's collector series — most run to no more than a few thousand pieces.
