This piece belongs to Belarus's long-running fairy tale silver series, which drew on both Western and Russian literary traditions to produce collector-focused bullion. "The Dead Princess and the Seven Knights" is Alexander Pushkin's 1833 verse narrative — itself a conscious reworking of the Snow White story, written the same year he composed "The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish." Pushkin drafted it at Boldino during his famously productive autumn isolation periods, when cholera quarantines kept him confined to his estate.
Mintage on this type was capped at 7,000 pieces.
