Additional information

The Cathedral of the Assumption in Grodno — the subject of this issue — is one of the oldest surviving Catholic churches in Belarus, with construction begun in the late 17th century under Jesuit patronage. The pad printing technique used here applies color directly onto the struck silver surface, a process Belarusian State Mint adopted aggressively in the late 2000s for its architectural collector series.

The KM#246a designation indicates this is the colored variant, with a plain silver counterpart catalogued separately.
