| Additional information |
Pavel Maslenikau was a Belarusian Soviet-era painter known primarily for his landscape and genre work, active through the mid-twentieth century. Belarus issued a series of silver commemoratives honoring national cultural figures during this period, and Maslenikau's centennial fell squarely within that program's scope. The National Bank of Belarus produced numerous similar issues in the 2010s, many with identical technical specifications, targeting collector markets rather than circulation.
