Reverse description
The central place is given to the image of `The Battle of the Nemiga River` miniature from the Radziwill Chronicle, the literature monument of the early 13th century. Military confrontation between the troops of Vseslav Charodei (`Sorcerer`) of Polotsk and Princes of the Principalities of Kiev, Pereyaslav and Chernigov - sons of Prince Yaroslav the Wise - came to its culmination on March 3, 1067. At the bottom of the coin, the historic names of the city are placed (`МЪНЬСКЪ`, `МЕНЕСК`, `МЕНСК`). The position of letters embodies the still flow of the Nemiga River.
