| Additional information |
Part of Belarus's long-running folklore series, this issue draws on the Belarusian folk tale of the skylark — a story embedded in the oral tradition of the region long before the Soviet period standardized and partially suppressed such material. The National Bank began issuing thematic folklore silver in the early 2000s, producing low-mintage collector pieces largely exported to Western European and East Asian numismatic markets rather than retained domestically.
