Obverse description The State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus occupies the central field, depicting a traditional Belarusian ornamental clover border encircling a map of Belarus superimposed over radiating sunrays, flanked by wreaths of wheat, clover, and flax tied with a ribbon in the national colours. The coat of arms bears a scroll inscribed РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ at its base. The legend РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 20 РУБЛЁЎ appears along the lower rim. The fineness mark Ag 925 and the date 2012 are inscribed in the lower field to either side of the coat of arms.

Additional information

Issued as part of Belarus's ongoing bilateral commemorative program with China, this coin marks the formal anniversary of diplomatic relations established between the two countries in 1992, following Belarusian independence from the Soviet Union. The National Bank of Belarus has produced dozens of such paired commemoratives, often in coordination with the People's Bank of China, making individual issues within the series difficult to distinguish in the secondary market without reference numbers.
