| Obverse description | At centre, a fragment of an engraving from 'Ars Magna Lucis et Umbrae' by German scholar Athanasius Kircher, depicting the interaction between celestial bodies. Belarus has produced an extensive series of zodiac coins since the mid-2000s, but the Cancer issue is among the more technically demanding — the filigree crab is fabricated separately, plated, and then sealed inside the capsule in a loose state, allowing it to shift freely. That floating insert construction requires tolerances tight enough that the capsule itself functions as part of the coin's legal structure, not merely decorative packaging.
