| Additional information |
Belarus has issued commemorative silver in extraordinary volume since the 1990s, and the ballet series is among its most sustained — the National Bank began releasing dance-themed pieces well before 2013, tying them loosely to the reputation of the Bolshoi Ballet's Minsk counterpart, the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre. The series trades on genuine cultural prestige: the Minsk company predates Belarusian independence by decades, founded in 1933.
KM#453 is one of several issues sharing near-identical specifications within the series. Collector demand outside Eastern Europe has remained modest, keeping secondary market prices close to melt for most examples.
