Reverse description A central crowned oval shield bearing the arms of the Free State of Saxony — barry of ten or and sable with a green Rautenkranz in bend — is flanked symmetrically by two decorative laurel branches rising from the base. A six-pointed star occupies the upper field above the shield, and the mintmark E is positioned in the lower field directly beneath it. The legend FREISTAAT SACHSEN arcs along the upper periphery, while 20 REICHSMARK runs along the lower periphery, both contained within a beaded border.
