Obverse description The right portion of the obverse is dominated by an intaglio-printed oval vignette of Werner von Siemens, the German industrialist and inventor, in three-quarter bust facing left, set within an ornate guilloche border with the name inscription below. The centre carries large Gothic-script lettering spelling 'Zwanzig' above 'Reichsmark', flanked by fine guilloche underprint in brown and red tones, with the issuing authority text, date, and a Reichsbank Directorate dry seal with eagle below. The denomination numeral '20' appears in large format at lower left, with a red serial number printed at upper left and lower right.
