| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of the young Queen Isabella II facing right, with elaborately styled curled and swept hair rendered in fine detail. The portrait is set within a raised inner circle, with the circular legend surrounding it. The Madrid mint mark crowned M with the year 2002 appears in the lower left field, while the historical reference date 1850 is inscribed at the base of the legend. The overall design faithfully reproduces the original 1850 coinage portrait attributed to the engraver Remigio Vega. |
