| Reverse description | The quartered royal arms of Spain, comprising the castles of Castile and the lions of León in the principal quarters with a central escutcheon bearing the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty, surmounted by the royal crown. Flanking the shield are the Pillars of Hercules, each bearing a scroll inscribed PLUS and ULTRA respectively, recalling Spain's imperial motto. The mint mark M and assayer initials SR appear in the lower field on either side, with the denomination 20 RS. displayed prominently at the base beneath the shield. |
