| Obverse description | Central intaglio vignette of Dr. Mariano Gálvez, rendered in fine engraved portrait style, positioned at centre with a faint underprint of the Real Palacio de Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción to the right. The bicentennial dates "1821–2021" appear in bold purple numerals to the upper left, with the bank title and the denomination numeral "20" printed in dark blue at upper right.
