Obverse description Central field displays the tughra (imperial calligraphic monogram) of Caliph Abdullah ibn Muhammad enclosed within a raised inner circle. The regnal year appears beneath the tughra in Arabic numerals. Surrounding the inner circle is an ornamental border composed of alternating crescent-shaped cartouches and rosette ornaments, themselves enclosed within a beaded outer border, lending the design a distinctly Ottoman-influenced aesthetic.
