| Reverse description | The reverse presents a stylised relief composition depicting the Adoration of the Magi, inspired by medieval iconographic tradition. The Virgin Mary is seated to the left, nimbed and holding a sceptre topped with a fleur-de-lis, with the Christ Child before her, also nimbed and raising his right hand in blessing. Three Magi appear to the right, crowned and robed, bearing gifts; one kneels in the foreground while two stand behind. A star of Bethlehem is depicted in the upper field above the figures.
