Obverse description Blue-dominant design on multicolour underprint, with a bust of the goddess Aphrodite from Soloi (1st century BC) positioned at left, the coat of arms of Cyprus accompanied by the denomination at centre, and a stylised bird derived from ancient Cypriot pottery art at right. Bilingual inscriptions in Greek and Turkish appear throughout, with the issuing authority's title, denomination, and governor's title rendered in both languages. An outline map of Cyprus is printed at lower centre.
