| Obverse description | Cream paper note with a decorative border of interlocking scroll and chain motifs in brown running around all four edges. The centre carries a faint purple underprint of the Erlangen civic coat of arms. All text is set in a bold blackletter (Fraktur) typeface: the title 'Waren-Gutschein I' appears at the top, followed by the purpose inscription across two lines, the large denomination numerals '20 Pfg. 20' in the middle field, the redemption authority line below, and a serial number field prefixed 'Nr.' A prohibition clause in smaller Fraktur occupies the lower portion of the note. The designer's name 'TRIPP' is printed in small capitals at the upper left corner. |
