Obverse description Central vignette of General Antonio Maceo within a laurel wreath frame, printed in black and olive green with intaglio detail. The denomination VEINTE PESOS appears in large bold lettering to the left of the portrait, with the serial number in red and the red circular seal of the General Treasury of the Republic to the left. Two signatures appear at the lower margin, flanking a text block containing the silver certificate obligation clause, with corner numerals 20 at all four corners.
