| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a central oval vignette at the left containing a horse's head in profile, set against a fine guilloche underprint border. The bank title BANCO DEL LITORAL is inscribed in bold letterpress across the upper portion, with the place of issue PARANA and date JULIO 21 DE 1871 below it. The denomination VEINTE PESOS is printed in large bold type at centre, with the currency designation Plata Boliviana and the clause O SU EQUIVALENTE EN MONEDA DE LEY beneath, flanked by repeated numeral 20 counter stamps along the lower border. Serie A and the note number appear in the upper corners. |
